Eptura – Archibus Space & Asset Management Technology Update -Total

TOTAL, one of the world’s largest oil groups, is present in more than 130 countries and covers all aspects of the oil and gas production chain: upstream and downstream. It is also active in basic chemicals (petrochemicals and fertilizers) and specialty chemicals (rubber, resins, adhesives and metallization), as well as other activities related to the energy sector.

Total Argentina, its subsidiary in the country, commissioned ABTIO to perform a technological migration of the originally implemented Eptura – Archibus version 14, updating the Space Management (with its integration with AutoCAD 2012) and Asset Management domains.

For this purpose, ABTIO developed on the Web Central® application the workflow for adding, modifying and deleting equipment and furniture from the inventory, individually and massively, linking the information with that coming from SAP and Meta4. At the same time, the use of PDA devices with bar code readers was implemented to carry out on-site inventory surveys (both at the Intercontinental Tower and at its bases in the interior of the country). In this way, it was possible to integrate the complete life cycle of the assets, from the moment they are received until their final disposal, in a single tool with a single database.
