Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll 9.2 – Medifé
The medical insurance ASE Nacional (Social Action of Entrepreneurs) decided to expand its business source by proposing new health prepaid medicine plans. This is how Medifé was born a few years ago. Ranked among the leading healthcare services in Argentina, Medifé has more than 60 branches in the country to assist more than 300,000 members.
Medifé is one of the companies with the largest number of members and with the highest level of satisfaction in its industry. It is positioned as a prepaid medical service company that facilitates administrative management, costumer care and presents a broad variety of services, with different plans to fit all needs.
Medifé has its own healthcare facility, Sanatorio Finochietto. Since 2014, modern and well located in the center of the Capital City, it is considered one of the most sophisticated medical facilities in Argentina.
Due to the expansion the company is going through, its became more complex, demanding the need for modernization and standardization. To achieve this goal, the Medifé decided to face a complete technological renovation.
Total project includes the modernization of the accounting and financial (ERP) and human resources (HCM) software. As part as this project, ABTIO was selected to carry out the implementation of payroll process.
Oracle PeopleSoft Global Payroll 9.2 is a Word Class solution, which allows improving the accuracy of payroll process and financial controls. As a result of this implementation, Medifé will get a reduction of costs, short implementation times and simplicity in the processes of upgrading and maintaining the software.
ABTIO’s implementation project in Medifé was planning with an extension of 30 weeks, during which payroll processes were implemented.
The technological solution selected by Medifé to cover its salary settlement process was Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll 9.2, PeopleTools version 8.56.11, which was installed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI (IaaS – PaaS). Said solution replaced the liquidator used by Medife up to now, with a modern cloud-based platform.
One of the most complex problems the implementation had was that by publishing the environments on the internet, they were quickly attacked. The solution to this was the creation of a private network between the Cloud applications and Medifé’s internal network.
We thank Medifé for trusting the ABTIO team.
